Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant for PRN opportunities. You will work to improve patients' mobility and independence, supported by a collaborative team, structured processes, and access to education and growth resources.

Responsibilities include delivering therapeutic exercises, applying PT modalities, monitoring progress, educating patients on home programs, and coordinating with PTs and nurses to enhance care quality.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) license
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Apply physical therapy modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitor patient progress and document responses for safe, effective care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and use of assistive devices
• Collaborate with PTs, nurses, and care team to enhance patient experience and care quality
