Job summary

Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Taylorsville, NC is looking for dedicated PRN Housekeepers to join our Environmental Services team. You’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

No healthcare experience is required—experience in housekeeping, hotels, hospitality, custodial work, or related fields is welcome. Flexible PRN shifts based on facility staffing needs and same-day pay options are available.

Qualifications

• Previous Housekeeping, Hospitality, Janitorial, Custodial, or Environmental Services experience preferred – NOT required!

Responsibilities

• Maintain Clean & Comfortable Spaces: Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Support Infection Prevention: Follow proper cleaning, disinfection, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Keep Our Facility Looking Its Best: Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and maintain assigned areas.
• Assist With Room Preparation: Perform routine resident room cleaning and discharge cleaning according to facility standards.
• Maintain Supplies: Restock housekeeping carts, cleaning products, and necessary supplies.
• Follow Cleaning Schedules: Complete assigned duties and special cleaning projects as needed.
• Promote a Safe Environment: Properly dispose of trash and waste while following safety guidelines.
• Work as a Team: Collaborate with nursing, maintenance, and other departments to maintain a clean and welcoming facility.
• Report Concerns: Notify appropriate team members of maintenance, safety, or sanitation issues.
