Job summary

AllStar Therapies is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis in a skilled nursing setting. Provide treatments under the direction of a licensed OT and help patients regain independence while contributing to a collaborative care team.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, reporting changes in patient condition, educating patients and caregivers on exercises and equipment, and maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the therapy team.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Assist patients in improving activities of daily living, functional mobility, and overall independence
• Accurately document treatment sessions and patient progress
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and equipment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to achieve the best patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and company policies and regulations
