Job summary

Emerald Healthcare in Omaha, NE seeks a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Nursing team. This flexible role supports residents with daily care on an as-needed basis, with a minimum of one shift per week and weekend/holiday availability.

The ideal candidate holds an active Nebraska CNA license, demonstrates compassionate patient care, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to maintain safety and comfort for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and move residents and perform patient care tasks.
• Current Nebraska CNA certification required.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: transfer, position, and ambulate residents safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration.
• Documentation: record care provided and changes in residents' conditions in electronic records.
• Communication: report changes to nursing staff or supervisor promptly.
• Supportive Tasks: assist with feeding, meals, and provide companionship.
• Infection Control: follow protocols and maintain a safe environment.
• Team Collaboration: work with nurses and physicians to ensure comprehensive care.
