Job summary

Orchid Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate for flexible, part-time contract coverage across clinic locations in Oregon. This independent contractor role covers primary care, inbox reviews, same-day and acute visits for patients on leave, with 8–16 hours per week.

The provider will complete documentation within policies, maintain confidentiality, and coordinate with clinic teams. Strong communication and trauma-informed, patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in Oregon prior to beginning the contract.
• Must be one of: Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate.
• Current DEA certification.
• Current board certification and licensure appropriate to profession.
• Experience providing primary care, urgent/same-day care, or outpatient family medicine.
• Ability to provide safe, independent clinical care while collaborating with clinic teams.
• Strong documentation, follow-through, and patient communication skills.
• Comfort working in an EHR and managing inbox-related clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care, same-day, and acute care visits for Orchid Health patients.
• Treat patients professionally, respectfully, and without judgment.
• Practice empathy with a trauma-informed approach in patient care.
• Follow Orchid Health clinical guidelines and policies, including controlled substances.
• Be available for consultation and assistance with medical or mental health emergencies and referrals.
