Aspire Early Learning Academy in Lexington is accepting applications for Substitute Preschool Teachers at our Lexington location. Hours range from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for college students, retirees, and moms.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic child development principles.
• Familiarity with health, safety, sanitation, and classroom supervision guidelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to positively guide children's behavior and appropriately mediate conflicts.
• Patient, friendly, dependable, and even-tempered.
• Flexible and comfortable adapting to different classroom environments.
• Genuine interest in working with young children.
• Successful completion of required background checks (CR, SLED, FBI).

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences using a variety of teaching techniques.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Observe children's needs and interests while encouraging confidence, independence, and self-esteem.
• Encourage children to interact positively and respectfully with one another.
• Support children's artistic, creative, and practical development through age-appropriate activities.
• Follow the classroom schedule, routines, and lesson plans provided by Aspire Early Learning Academy.
• Actively supervise children and maintain a safe environment at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom consistent with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Work cooperatively and professionally with classroom teachers, co-workers, and administration.
• Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism when working in different classrooms and with different teaching teams.
