Meritus Health is seeking a compassionate Phlebotomist for outpatient and nursing facility coverage. The role focuses on accurate specimen collection, proper patient identification, labeling, and timely processing to support reliable test results and a positive patient experience.

The position requires completion of an accredited training program (Phlebotomy/MA/EMT/Military Medic) and either one year of phlebotomy experience or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, EMT, or Military Medic program.
• One year of recent phlebotomy experience or completion of above training.

Responsabilités

• Perform venipunctures and fingersticks using established procedures.
• Verify patient identity before specimen collection.
• Label, process, and handle specimens to maintain integrity.
• Communicate clearly with patients and team members.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Follow patient safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain inventory and supplies in collection areas.
• Support a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Report safety concerns and take action to reduce risk.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
