Job summary

Effective School Solutions (ESS) is seeking a Per Diem Licensed School-Based Mental Health Clinician for Johnstown/Ligonier. The role provides school-based therapy, family engagement, and crisis planning with flexible assignments and no guaranteed full-time schedule.

You will collaborate with school staff, families, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and support student resilience, with opportunities for supervision and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Active clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state where services are provided.
• 4+ years of experience with children/adolescents with behavioral and emotional needs.
• Experience training and coaching educational professionals and parents/caregivers.
• Experience with schools, families, and community services; school-based experience preferred.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and to advocate for best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health services (individual, group, family therapy) and assessments.
• Partner with families and facilitate parent support programming.
• Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention; coordinate referrals as needed.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for student success.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the assigned school-based program.
• Serve as primary clinical contact for school partners and provide guidance.
• Facilitate weekly consultations to align on student goals and documentation.
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and teams to deliver coordinated care.
