Job summary

Sinai Post Acute Nursing & Rehab in Newark, NJ, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents under a supervising Physical Therapist. The role features flexible schedule options including full-time, part-time, and per diem, with an hourly rate of $40 and a per diem of $43.

You’ll implement therapy programs, guide residents and families, coordinate with the rehabilitation team, and document care promptly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Licensed as required by the State.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when tests, evaluations, and complex procedures are performed.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the physical therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy program.
• Works with other rehabilitation team members to develop programs and activities for residents.
• Maintains resident documentation for treatments.
• Attends resident care and staff meetings as a PT representative.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports any repairs needed.
• Delivers high-quality service in a caring environment.
