Job summary

Allied Digestive Health in West Long Branch, NJ is seeking a Per Diem Pathologist to join our state-of-the-art lab. The role involves examining surgical specimens in compliance with CLIA/CAP guidelines, with 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, in a high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates will review surgical pathology, cytology, and hematopathology specimens and provide timely, accurate diagnoses while maintaining quality standards and communicating with physicians.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the applicable state(s).
• Demonstrated expertise in pathology diagnosis and reporting.
• Ability to work independently in a per-diem setting.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret pathology specimens as assigned.
• Render accurate diagnoses to quality standards.
• Prepare finalized pathology reports within required turnaround times.
• Consult with physicians regarding diagnostic findings and patient management.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and laboratory standards.
• Provide guidance to laboratory personnel as needed.
