Job summary

Allied Universal in South Portland, ME seeks a Security Officer Flex Patrol Driver to protect client sites across healthcare, education, finance and more. Expect 30–40 hours weekly with shift variety and the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

You will patrol on foot or by vehicle, respond to emergencies, and maintain logs. This role offers hands-on experience and a pathway to advancement within a leading security company.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license as per Allied Universal policy requirements.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure compliant property removal.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
