Job summary

Visiting Angels Midtown Sacramento, CA is hiring a Patient Care Aide - PCA to support seniors living at home in Davis, Sacramento and nearby areas. Join a team of Angels dedicated to compassionate care and making a difference in the community.

As a PCA you will perform personal care, light housekeeping, mobility support, medication reminders, meal prep, shopping, and transport assistance. Vaccination, HS diploma, valid license, EVV, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years old and able to work legally in the US.
Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with shot record.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once.
Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care.
Able to assist with housekeeping and cooking while adhering to dietary constraints.

Responsibilities

Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene.
Managing light housekeeping.
Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times.
Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them).
Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability).
Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation and accompanying to appointments.
