Job summary

Lincoln Tech's Melrose Park campus is seeking Part-time Relief Instructors for our Welding program. This flexible role offers 20-25 hours per week and does not require teaching experience, perfect for experienced technicians who want to stay connected and help train the next generation.

You will sub for instructors, tutor students, and provide hands-on support across classrooms, labs, and shops, with morning, afternoon, or evening shifts Monday through Thursday and occasional Fridays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years welding experience.
• Credentials, licenses or regulatory requirements as applicable.
• Part‑time relief instructors must complete required trainings.
• Strong computer skills for LMS and records.
• Instructing or mentoring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student‑centered learning and deliver course objectives.
• Follow approved lesson plans and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Sub for instructors, tutor students, and provide hands‑on welding support.
• Administer attendance, grades, and student advising forms.
• Maintain records and complete required forms accurately.
• Earn and update credentials per Lincoln Tech requirements.
