Job summary

Bach to Rock is seeking a Part Time Voice / Vocal Instructor in Minnesota to deliver lessons using the B2R curriculum. This role is a part-time position with a focus on helping students of all ages develop their singing skills and performance readiness.

The ideal candidate will have strong music theory knowledge, effective communication, and experience teaching youth or beginner musicians. You will work 3 days per week between 4pm-8pm, with opportunities to participate in school events.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of music concepts and ability to explain them clearly.
• Advanced music theory and technique relevant to the primary instrument.
• Excellent time management and organization to keep lessons on task.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and varied personalities.
• Proven performer experience (solo or group).
• Experience working with youth or beginner musicians.
• Ability to interact effectively with children and adults.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere
• Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble
• Assist at school events (on and off-site)
• May repair equipment as needed and able
