Job summary

Allied Universal in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol to provide reliable site presence, customer service, and adherence to site policies. This role offers flexible scheduling with anchor shifts and options to pick up extra shifts to boost earnings.

The position requires minimum age and education, background check, drug screen, and state licensing as applicable, with paid training and opportunities to advance to full‑time roles.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior through a visible professional presence and courteous interaction with customers and staff.
