Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in West Warwick, RI. This role offers fixed shifts with opportunities to pick-up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, designed for flexible, dependable hours to supplement income.

Pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Minimum requirements include being 18+ (21+ for armed), a high school diploma, and completion of background and drug screening as required by law. Eligible to advance within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as directed.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
