Job summary

ACMS is seeking a School Crossing Guard in Alhambra, CA to help children safely cross streets before and after school. This role is part-time with hours Monday through Friday, school days only.

Pay is $18.50 per hour with potential bonus pay; if both before and after school shifts are worked, you will complete about 3 hours daily and earn $74 per day. Ideal candidates are 18+, reliable, punctual, able to stand outdoors in various weather, and possess strong communication and observation skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Position often requires short response times to the job site; Alhambra residents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely guide pedestrians across designated intersections or crosswalks.
• Monitor traffic flow to ensure safety for all pedestrians.
• Remain alert and observant to ensure student safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
