Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner - Accredited Respiratory Therapist program; Registry eligible.
• Maintain current RRT credential.
• Maintain valid State of Michigan License in Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership in patient care.
• Use AIDET principles with every patient.
• Serve as consultant, resource person, and role model in respiratory care.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Ensure treatments follow physician orders and approved medical protocols.
• Maintain safe respiratory therapy practices and alert leadership to safety issues.
• Provide instruction to staff or students during clinical training.
• Other duties as assigned.
