Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol in Colorado Springs, CO to provide customer-focused security at a technology‑driven site. You will work a fixed anchor shift with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn-A-Shift program, increasing earnings while gaining experience across multiple sites.

The role pays $21.01 per hour and offers part‑time hours with potential to scale to full time up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology‑focused location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and facility hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic technology and media environment.
