Job summary

KenCrest is hiring compassionate people to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their communities. This part-time role offers flexible daytime, afternoon, and early evening shifts with no overnights.

You'll use your own car to provide occasional transportation, helping clients access the grocery store, library, appointments, and social activities while building independence. Training and support are provided; prior care experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older (required).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle (required).
• Willingness to use your vehicle to transport individuals when needed (required).
• Clean background check, drug screen, and acceptable driving record (per state guidelines).
• Experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities is a plus, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, creativity, and a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals as they practice life skills like cooking, laundry, or using public transportation
• Provide transportation in your personal vehicle for community outings, errands, or appointments
• Help individuals build social skills and confidence in group or public settings
• Assist with navigating everyday challenges and celebrating progress
• Encourage independence while offering reliable, compassionate support
