Job summary

Accela Healthcare is seeking a compassionate part-time Activities Aide to join our Springfield skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. You will help plan and lead recreational programs, support events, and provide one-on-one interactions to enhance residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being.

The role offers a flexible weekday schedule (8a-2p or 8:30a-2:30p) with rotating weekends, no certification required, and a friendly, supportive environment where you can gain healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in activities, recreation, or senior care is a plus.
• Friendly and compassionate demeanor.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Team oriented with reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting daily recreational and therapeutic activities
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities
• Decorate and prepare activity areas for events and holidays
• Escort residents to and from activities as needed
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families
• Document resident attendance and participation
• Assist with community outings and special programs
• Maintain activity supplies and equipment
• Ensure activities are conducted in a safe and engaging manner
