Job summary

ESS is seeking a Flexible Substitute Paraprofessional for the Brandywine Heights Area School District in Topton, PA. The role supports students with special needs and assists the classroom teacher with instructional reinforcement and supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• PA Act 24 clearance is required before employment.
• PA Act 34 clearance is required before employment.
• Federal Act 114 clearance is required before employment.
• Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance required.
• Act 168 Disclosure Release for Sexual Misconduct required.
• TB test/physical clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups.
• Assist teacher with classroom management and supervision of the class.
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
• Supervise students in cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, field trips, and before/after school programs.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
• Support students with special needs following IEPs/504 Plans.
• Perform other duties as directed by teacher and administration.
