Job summary

UPMC is hiring a Casual-Paramedic to support York County. The role provides advanced life support to critically ill or injured patients and requires strict adherence to protocols, safety, and documentation.

A valid PA EMSVO certification within 90 days of hire is required, along with ACLS and BLS/CPR, a Driver's License, and the ability to travel to base sites. Flexible scheduling is offered; workers must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and operate outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Paramedic certification required; ACLS and BLS/CPR required.
• PALS and PA EMSVO certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to base sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced life support to patients per protocols.
• Maintain equipment and vehicle readiness; perform daily checks.
• Complete all documentation promptly (payroll, expense, orientation).
• Respond to service requests quickly and efficiently.
• Report injuries promptly to a supervisor.
