Job summary

Healthcare United in East Central Illinois is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Endocrinologist for a full-time, outpatient opportunity. The role offers a flexible start date and comprehensive support from an experienced team within a growing health system.

The position focuses on diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and other adult endocrinology conditions, with opportunities to develop a long-term practice and engage with a strong primary care referral network.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of an accredited Endocrinology fellowship.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology.
• Active or eligible Illinois medical license.
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• New graduates and experienced Endocrinologists welcome.
• Comfortable managing diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and related adult endocrinology conditions.
• Strong patient-education and chronic-disease-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, APPs, and Primary Care providers.
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills.
• Current CV required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, and lipid disorders in adults.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and Primary Care providers to coordinate care.
• Provide patient education and ongoing chronic-disease management.
• Develop and expand an outpatient Endocrinology practice within a growing health system.
