GT Independence is seeking compassionate Direct Support Workers to help individuals who self-direct their services. You will work directly with the person receiving services in their home and community, assisting them to live as independently as possible and to exercise personal choice.

This role offers flexible scheduling, meaningful one-on-one work, opportunities to make a direct impact on quality of life, and ongoing training in person-centered care delivered by a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Reliable, patient, and respectful of others.
• Ability to follow direction and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living support including personal care.
• Assist with light housekeeping and routines.
• Help individuals engage with their community.
• Support health-related tasks per the Service Plan.
• Respect personal choices and promote independence.
• Document services accurately and complete trainings.
