Rock Region METRO is hosting an On-Demand Driver position at the North Little Rock site. The role involves operating a sedan or WAV, transporting passengers per dispatch, and ensuring safety checks and fare handling during shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

The job emphasizes strong customer service, knowledge of routes, and ability to communicate with passengers and dispatch. Local qualifications include a high school diploma, 21+ years, and a valid Arkansas Class D license;

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older; driving experience preferred.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check, non-DOT medical exam and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate sedan or WAV to pick up and discharge passengers at designated stops.
• Perform vehicle inspections and report mechanical problems.
• Collect fares and transfers; inspect passes for validity.
• Communicate with Dispatch using radios or MDTs; report delays or incidents.
• Provide route and schedule information to passengers; maintain logs as required.
• Maintain safe, courteous service and professional appearance.
