Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher to support mixed-age Montessori classrooms (ages 0–6). No formal Montessori training required; training provided during orientation and onboarding.

This role offers flexible, part-time hours with potential pathways to full-time Assistant Teacher roles. You will cover classrooms as needed, assist with routines, and help maintain a calm, nurturing learning environment while collaborating with staff to ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications

• TB test negative within the last 12 months
• Valid state background check
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Warm, friendly and dependable demeanor
• Passion for working with young children

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency
• Assist with daily routines and activities across mixed-age groups
