Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking experienced On-Call IT Field Technicians to support residential and small business customers with computer troubleshooting, networking, printer configuration, and on-site IT services.

This on-call 1099 independent contractor role offers full flexibility, with you setting availability and driving radius; we dispatch jobs that match proximity, skills, and preferences.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues.
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
• Install and configure printers and scanners.
• Replace or upgrade hardware components.
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
