Chapel View, a Cassia community, is hiring an On-Call Cook/Culinary Assistant to join our team. This flexible, as-needed role offers extra hours while contributing to a positive dining experience for residents.

You will assist with meal preparation, cooking, serving, and kitchen clean-up, ensuring food safety and quality. The ideal candidate is dependable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of commercial cooking or food prep experience.
• Previous healthcare setting experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Selected candidates will be required to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and assist in cooking all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
• Assist with food preparation and serving meals to residents.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
• Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
