Completely Care Recruitment Consultants Ltd in Durham is recruiting experienced Nursery Assistants to support a range of nurseries across Durham and the surrounding areas. If you’re passionate about working with children and looking for flexible childcare work, we can offer shifts to suit your availability.

As a Nursery Assistant, you’ll support qualified Nursery Practitioners in creating a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop, and thrive.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, early years setting, or childcare environment
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Caring, reliable, and enthusiastic approach
• Good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and children’s welfare
• Experience supporting the EYFS framework is desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Support qualified Nursery Practitioners in creating a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children
• Help with daily routines, prepare engaging activities, and support children’s learning through play
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environment
• Work with early years teams to promote wellbeing, confidence, and development
• Contribute to delivering high‑quality childcare while matching shifts to availability
