Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher to support mixed-age classrooms (0–6) across our U.S. locations. The role offers flexible, part-time hours and a pathway to full-time Assistant Teacher roles.

Training is provided as part of orientation and onboarding. Minimum qualifications include a negative TB test within 12 months and a valid state background check, plus strong interpersonal skills and a warm, dependable demeanor.

Qualifications

• TB test negative within the last 12 months.

• Passion for working with young children.
• Preferred: Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.
• Recent experience with children aged 0–6.

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency.
• Assist with daily routines and classroom activities across mixed-age groups.
• Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care.
• Model patience, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction.
