Job summary

APPS Paramedical is seeking dependable, experienced phlebotomists and medical assistants to conduct mobile life and disability insurance examinations. This independent contractor role offers flexible part‑time hours, allowing you to choose appointments within about 30 miles of your home ZIP code.

Appointments typically take 15–45 minutes. You will travel to client locations, perform basic screenings and venipuncture, and complete documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills.
• Experience as Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, EMT, LPN or RN preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic health screenings and medical histories.
• Measure height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and other required measurements.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood, urine, and occasionally saliva specimens.
• Perform EKGs when required — training is provided.
• Accurately complete examination paperwork and electronic documentation.
• Prepare specimens for shipment and ensure they are shipped within 24 hours of collection.
• Provide professional, courteous service to clients in their homes, workplaces, or other convenient locations.
