Job summary

OnePeak Medical is seeking a Locum Tenens Physician Assistant to cover Southern Oregon clinics, including Medford and surrounding towns. You will provide direct patient care via office visits and telehealth, with a patient-centered, root-cause approach to care.

The assignment is flexible (full-time or part-time) for about 3 months with possible extension; Oregon license required or eligibility; strong emphasis on preventive and functional medicine; supportive team and NextGen EHR.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon license as a Certified Physician Assistant (or eligibility to obtain).
• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred (functional/integrative medicine experience is a plus).
• Strong interest in preventive, functional, and lifestyle medicine.
• Excellent communication and patient relationship skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proficient in using electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care through office visits, telehealth, and occasional same-day appointments.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, order and interpret labs/imaging, and diagnose acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that may include lifestyle interventions, supplements, hormone therapies, and prescriptions.
• Educate and empower patients on preventive health and functional medicine principles.
• Collaborate with internal health coaches, nutritionists, mental health providers, and clinical support staff.
• Document visits in the EHR (NextGen) in a timely and compliant manner.
• Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and training sessions.
• Support clinic operations by contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.

Education

Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
