Job summary

NGIS Newport in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Laundry Attendant to support lodging operations by processing linens for the NEXCOM Hospitality Group NHG.

Responsibilities include sorting and issuing linen, operating washers, dryers and ironing presses, maintaining inventory, and performing housekeeping tasks as needed. The role requires physical stamina and flexibility to cover shifts and occasional travel within facilities.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sorts washes, dry folds, bundles, wraps and issues linen per instructions.
• Operates washers, dryers and ironing press with attention to detail.
• Maintains linen inventory and reports damages or replacements to sustain par levels.
• May be required to pick up and deliver laundry to multiple facilities.
• Cleans facility and maintains daily/monthly work documentation.
• May hold a valid state driver’s license for travel within facilities.
• May perform housekeeping duties as needed to cover shortages.
• Ensures guest privacy and security at all times.
