Job summary
One Brooklyn Health is seeking an experienced staff RN for maternity and neonatal care. You will apply the nursing process, perform comprehensive assessments, and develop care plans for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including newborn care and resuscitation if needed.
The role requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication within a busy labor and delivery unit. Qualified candidates will hold a NY State RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification, with at least
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited nursing program(s).
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum one year neonatal or pediatric experience.
- Current NY State RN License required.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP required.
Responsibilities
- Provide age-appropriate, culturally competent care and family-centered care.
- Perform thorough patient assessment and reassessment of maternity and neonate.
- Establish a plan of care based on patient diagnosis and nursing process.
- Monitor fetal monitoring and contraction patterns; interpret results.
- Assist with epidural placement and administration; support labor and delivery.
- Scrub in and circulate in OR; manage postoperative recovery.
- Support breastfeeding initiation; educate families throughout delivery.
- Discharge planning and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
