Job summary

Kj's Market in Kingstree, South Carolina is seeking a part-time associate to provide excellent guest service in the Bluebird Kitchen/Deli/Bakery department. The role offers weekly pay, flexible schedules, and benefits including a 401K and Pension Plan, tuition assistance, and more.

You will greet guests, prepare products, and maintain quality and cleanliness across the department. Ideal candidates are friendly, team-oriented, able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong guest service skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to stand/bend for extended periods.
• Effective communication and selling skills, team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with guests.
• Prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, baking, weighing, and pricing).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guests' requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat and tidy at all times.
• Perform duties as assigned by management.
• Front-end duties to ensure guests arrival standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
