Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc. in California seeks Child Development Specialists to provide home-based early intervention for infants, toddlers and families.

You will conduct developmental assessments, follow IFSPs, coach families, and deliver services in homes, daycare centers, or community settings. Master’s degree or teaching credential preferred; EI experience and strong interpersonal skills valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in child development, early childhood, teaching or related field OR a special education teaching credential.
• Early Intervention Experience Preferred
• Home-Based Service Delivery Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide child development services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with families to develop strategies to reach developmental goals.
• Use family-centered parent coaching to build caregivers’ confidence and ensure progress generalizes.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycare centers, community settings).
• Conduct re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information in line with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
