Job summary

Visiting Angels of Bryan is seeking compassionate In-Home Private Duty Caregivers to enrich clients’ lives across Central Texas, including Bryan, Navasota, College Station, and surrounding areas. We offer flexible schedules, competitive pay, and opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

You will assist with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, mobility, and transportation, while following care plans and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed).
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care.
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Planning and preparing meals with clients.
• Handling light housekeeping duties.
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents.
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips.
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands.
