Job summary

Dane Street is expanding its physician panel and seeking experienced Orthopedic Surgeons to perform Independent Medical Examinations and Peer Reviews under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. This independent contractor opportunity is designed for those who want flexible case-based assignments within a 50-mile radius of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Physicians will conduct in-person IMEs, perform comprehensive peer reviews, and provide detailed reports while maintaining compliance with LHWCA standards. Ideal candidates will have a Texas medical license and board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license required.
• US Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Must be AMA 6th Edition Certified (or willing to become certified).
• Prior Longshore IME and/or Peer Review experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person, objective, defensible IMEs for Longshore cases.
• Perform comprehensive peer reviews of medical records.
• Provide detailed, timely written reports.
