Job summary

The Neighborhood at Paducah in Paducah, KY is seeking a Housekeeper to join our team. The role covers daily housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms, and restocking supplies.

Shift details include Mon-Fri with every other weekend required. The ideal candidate understands infection control and can multi-task in a paced assisted living environment.

Qualifications

• Infection control procedures understanding.
• Ability to multi task and manage stress.
• Understands assisted living philosophy.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours.
• Possess written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed cleaning worksheet/checklist for each room and common area.
• Set up and mix water and detergents per specifications.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors/fixtures.
• Clean floors and walls in common areas and resident rooms.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpet.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment including moving furniture.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Adjust HVAC filters as needed.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Remove debris from outdoor areas.
• Ensure bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper, towels, soap.
• Replace light bulbs throughout the community.
• Ensure suites with two residents are cleaned twice weekly.
• Document maintenance needs in log and housekeeping checklist.
