Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, or being at least 16 years old and enrolled in school.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort soiled laundry by residential unit and item type (clothing, bedding, towels).
• Load/unload washers and dryers and select settings; measure laundry chemicals as needed.
• Operate washers/dryers safely; weigh and fold clean items and return laundered items to designated areas.
• Perform light equipment maintenance and routine cleaning of machines.
• Maintain a neat laundry area; report equipment issues to supervisor.
• Monitor inventories and notify supervisor when restocking is needed.
• Mend minor damage to clothing and linens.
• Clean and disinfect machines/work areas to maintain sanitary environment.
• Secure equipment and document laundry activity per standards.

Education

High School Diploma or GED or be a minimum of at least 16 years old and enrolled in school
