Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Receiving Associate to unload shipments, verify contents, and move items to the correct stock locations within the distribution center. The role includes logging incoming shipments and supporting return processing and cross-docking activities.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of related work experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• 6 months prior work experience.
• Ability to work in a fast paced setting and calmly under pressure.
• Ability to communicate with customers, supervisors, and Will Call employees.
• Possess willingness and ability to learn.
• Pass a drug screen and background inquiry.
• Able to operate a RADS gun and forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Unload shipments and verify accuracy, then transport items to proper stock locations.
• Record all incoming shipments on the receiving log.
• Sort and distribute shipments and deliver next-day air mail when received.
• Handle repair and returns processing and ship to jobbers as needed.
• Assist in unloading returned merchandise and verify piece counts.
