Job summary

475 Management is seeking a friendly server to provide dining services at Avella of Almaden in San Jose, CA. You will serve meals, prepare and refill beverages, and ensure orders are accurate and presentable while maintaining cleanliness and safety in a care facility.

Responsibilities include assisting with menu selections, delivering meals to resident rooms, and complying with company policies, safety standards, and licensing requirements. Prior experience in food and beverage is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer six (6) months experience in a food and beverage environment.
• Able to safely operate standard cooking equipment and utensils typically found in facilities serving food.
• Able to read, write, and speak English to interact with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient and courteous manner.
• Prepare, refill beverages, including wine and beer when applicable, and stock bar items as needed.
• Enter orders into the POS accurately and professionally.
• Input to-go and take-out orders as well as employee meals according to procedures.
• Ensure food orders reflect special requests and substitutions.
