Job summary

ExpressStop in Battle Creek, MI is seeking reliable Sales Associates to greet customers, ring up purchases, and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will handle daily tasks with accuracy while offering friendly service and occasional up-selling opportunities.

Responsibilities include stocking, cleaning high-traffic areas, and compliance with age verification for lottery, tobacco, and alcohol. Previous retail experience is a plus, but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Willing to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent reading, writing and spoken English.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and ring up purchases with accuracy and speed.
• Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales in compliance with age verification laws.
• Provide friendly service and upsell when appropriate.
• Maintain clean and safe store conditions including restrooms, pumps, and lot.
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays; keep entryways tidy and organized.
• Be willing to cross-train in other departments as needed.
