Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a per diem Medical Weight Loss Physician to join a multidisciplinary Weight Management Team across Danvers, Beverly and Gloucester, MA. You will deliver evidence-based medical weight management, perform evaluations, and tailor pharmacotherapy within a supportive hospital system.

The role emphasizes flexible hours, patient-centered care, and collaboration with dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and exercise physiologists, with documentation in Epic EHR.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited school.
• Board Certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related specialty.
• Active, unrestricted Massachusetts Medical License and DEA/MCSR registration.

Responsibilities

• Medical Evaluation: Conduct initial and follow-up medical visits, including history, physical exams, and lab review.
• Treatment Planning: Formulate and manage individualized, evidence-based medical weight loss plans; prescribe and adjust FDA-approved weight loss pharmacotherapy.
• Co-Morbidity Management: Manage metabolic conditions often associated with obesity.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work with Dietitians, Behavioral Health Specialists, and Exercise Physiologists.
• Documentation: Maintain timely records in the EHR (Epic).
