Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice Technician to join our plant operations. This role is an hourly position focusing on learning a multi-craft trade while contributing to daily maintenance tasks and repairs.

You will install, maintain, and repair equipment, perform preventative maintenance, read blueprints, and work safely with a variety of trades. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn a multi-craft trade in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
• Excellent attendance history and good performance history.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machines and equipment in plants and related facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, conveyors, steam systems, and related equipment.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to fix and maintain equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair and fabricate parts.
• Complete work orders and paperwork for daily maintenance tasks.
• Assist with plant inspections and address mechanical/equipment problems.
• Ensure safety policies followed; wear PPE as required.
• Assist with housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
