Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in the United States invites applications for the Per Diem Personal Care Assistant I or II. This role provides essential environmental and personal care support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain independence.

You will assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, transportation assistance, and routine health monitoring while complying with home health guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current drivers license and vehicle insurance, or access to dependable transportation.
• Must have completed a training program in home health aide services OR equivalent exam OR one full year experience providing personal care through a home care agency.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet identified patients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists clients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, denture care and dressing.
• Prepares meals and assists with feeding as required by the client.
• Maintains a clean, safe home environment and provides safety around equipment.
• Reminds and assists with medications and monitors basic health indicators.
• Accompanies clients to appointments or runs essential errands as needed.
• Documents and reports observations to the Branch Manager or Office Assistant.
