Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners, a national nonprofit, seeks an Assistant Director of Grant Writing in Bethesda, MD to lead and coordinate proposals, reports, and donor materials. You will partner with fundraisers, program leaders, and accounting to articulate affordable housing programs and outcomes.

The role includes ensuring timely submissions, supporting nine frontline fundraisers, and driving KPI-driven fundraising impact across enterprise divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent; 3-4 years of related experience preferred.
• Proven track record in grant writing and donor communications.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading with strong English grammar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee corporate, foundation, and government grant proposals and reporting with support.
• Develop timelines and schedules for writing deliverables and manage workflow.
• Prepare proposals, concept papers, program reports, and letters of inquiry per funder guidelines.
• Write, edit, assemble and submit proposals and stewardship documents; adjust processes per funder voice.
• Create program budgets and narratives with accounting and program leaders.
• Maintain up-to-date grant materials in the grants management system.
