Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison is seeking a Geriatrics Inpatient Consultation Physician to support our Trauma and Hospitalist teams.

The role offers flexible scheduling with part-time or expanded hours, working Monday through Friday with no weekend or on-call requirements. Ideal candidates include board-certified/board-eligible geriatricians or family/internal medicine physicians with geriatrics focus, with an ACGME residency and geriatric fellowship preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME accredited residency program.
• Board-certified/board-eligible Geriatricians, OR Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with geriatrics focus.
• Geriatrics fellowship training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient geriatrics consultation for eligible patients.
• Partner with Trauma and Hospitalist teams to develop, refine, and implement geriatric care protocols.
• Champion best practices in geriatric medicine, supporting quality, safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
