Job summary

YMCA of the North Shore is hiring a Floating Teacher to support Early Learning Centers in Haverhill and Amesbury. The role involves assisting teachers, implementing curriculum, and fostering children's development in a safe, nurturing environment.

Ideal candidates have childcare experience, strong communication, and a flexible, collaborative spirit. Must be at least 16 and eligible to meet MA EEC/NH DHHS childcare requirements. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and staff.
• Must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in high school or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and center leadership with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Support the implementation of curriculum and age‑appropriate learning experiences.
• Help foster children's social, emotional, physical, creative, and cognitive development.
• Provide positive guidance and encouragement to children throughout the day.
